Author uses words as a path to healing for individuals &
community Sanford, NC
– Author, and writing coach, Angela B. Thompson never really set out to write a
book. She began composing her poems as a way poems as a therapeutic way to
offer encouragement to herself, others and to her sister after she lost her husband. “I wanted my words to uplift and inspire others and to give them hope,” says Thompson, now the published author of, Realyricals: Road to Recovery, a compilation of inspirational poems that takes its readers down the path of self-discovery and recovery.
Thompson’s work has quickly by-passed the original intent
though. With the upcoming Realyricals book signing being held at
her church, Christian Provision Ministries, led by Bishop Charles Mellette, and
Pastor Patti Thompson Mellette, on November 11, 2012 at 9:30 am., the writer is
now publicly using her words to not only heal individuals, but to also heal
community. Using the same book, Thompson will also be hosting writing workshops
that utilize journaling techniques to assist participants with not only the
creative writing process, but also helping them to take the first steps towards
emotional recovery through written expression.
“I want my words to inspire people to go deeper and to use
writing as a tool for healing,” says Thompson of her upcoming endeavors. “I am so
excited to have the support of my pastors and my worship community,”adds
Thompson.
It only makes sense that Thompson would partner on her first
book signing with Christian Provision Ministries, as they offer many creative
programs to their congregation and the community with a full music and creative
arts ministry. So, hosting an event such as The Realyricals book signing is in full
alignment with their already existing programs.
The very first Realyricals book signing will be held at the
Christian Provision Ministries Provision Café, located at 2300 Courtland Drive,
on November 11, 2012 at 9:30 AM between their services. Books will be available
for sale. For more information visit: www.christianprovision.com.
